thankx, paint wasnt the hard part. the polishing of the bolts took hours upon hours to get them all shiny with my trusty dremel tool! I have been thinking of doing this for a fee if anybody is interested!

So much time. I started polishing my ca valve covers, put about 2 hours into it and settled with some metallic paint. It's so tedious. But...if you don't need a perfect mirror shine, like on those nuts, I recommend using a wire brush attachment and an angle grinder. I polished my CAS and it looks pretty shiny. I also freshened up a bunch of bolts. It's nice because you can get into every little crease. It only takes a few seconds to do also. (Not to undermine your method, as it may have turned out better with the dremel, but it's just an alternative)
