Is this a law in certain parts of the US? I heard from a friend that in some parts of the US having a GPS attached to your windshield is also illegal? Is this true?Skim302 wrote:Yup that's true. You're not allowed to have anything hanging from your rear view mirror. I guess because it's distracting but I don't know. I think it's funny because my high school us to give use parking passes that hung from our rear view mirror which forced us to do some thing illegal, eventhough it was a really petty crime it was still funny.
Just glad we don't have any of those laws here in Ontario.1_Sleek_Versa wrote:Must be another Californian law. lol
What's wrong w/ living in Canada? I love it and feel blessed to live in such a great country.manvan wrote:yeah, but then again you do live in canada so its a loose win
Lol, the US has a lot of cold places as well. Usually Buffalo NY gets worse snow storms than we do here. Every place has their good and bad qualities. And I don't necessarily think everyone here is all nice and trusting. Michael Moore said that all Canadians leave there doors unlocked. That is definitely not true in our household. I don't know anyone in my family, or friends who leave their doors unlocked. Again, there are good and bad qualities that are associated with every country.manvan wrote:cold, everyones all nice and trusting ( this is wierd to me), and a lack of disney parks. we have 2, try and beat that.
My brother-in-law was just telling us how they passed a law in Ontario banning windshield mounted GPS systems...I could be wrong but that's what I heard.iluvmyVersa08 wrote:

Hmm. Never heard this and I live in Ontario. I have my GPS mounted to the windshield and have air fresheners hanging from my rear view mirror.APEXi240 wrote:

Anything on the windshield or hanging from the rear view mirror is considered obstruction of vision hence the ticket.
