fresh swap problems

ok i just swapped a j30 engine same as z you know vg30
with all parts of the z execpt internals
i am kind of in a rush but idk if i can put two ground wires in the same place joined together.....?
and i'm missing an 8mm ground wire as well on the alternator......
so i tried to connectr the battery but all it did was sparks as i connected the (+) & (-)
so any idea what i am missing
i am so ready to end this engine swap once and for all since i've been working on that stupid j30 engine(THANKS A LOT DAD)!!!! :tisk:

As long as it's a good grounding spot, you can stack grounds there is you want, ha. The alternator needs to be grounded properly for sure, 4 ga wire or bigger if you re-run it yourself will be more than good enough. Oh, and why are you using a J30 in the Z32!?

because my dad is one of those guys that think that every different make of car uses same parts but they don't......
there was this thick wirte screwed to the block but it looked useless so i took it off!!!
the 8mm ground wire is the one in the alternator but idk where to connect it to since i don't see anywhere in that side of the engine bay to put it on.....
plus that j30 vg was 500$ with 97k miles from a 1997 j30

You CAN ground it to the battery ground side or where the battery itself grounds

you got the positive on the alt on the positive lug? the alt has a large ground wire and a large positive wire, they should both be attached to the loom

there's a plug to the alt,i put that 1 on. then comes the 2 ground wires i got the bigger ground wire on the chassis but i haven't found a place for the 2nd 8mm ground on the alt.
anyway i haven't done much work since it's raining and i'm moving at the same time wich sucksssssssssss anusss
