Hey guys trying to get my wifes vert running finally. Just got the swap all wired in and everything seems to be ok. Compression is good. Im just trying to get the 1st start up to fire up and I cant seem to get spark.

I have tried 2 different ignitor chips, 2 ecu's. I also checked grounds, they seem ok. How do I check the ignitor chips to make sure they are good. Ive been searching for the diagram and for some reason I cant seem to find it. The ones with which terminals to hook my meter to read for resistance.

I pulled the CAS out and did the spin check with the fuel pump off and all six injectors are definately firing. Plus I flooded the motor out yesterday trying to get it to turn over. But I plugged in my spark tester into the #6 coilpack and nothing.

Should I get spark simply by turning the CAS? Could my CAS be bad if no spark? Anything else to look for which would cause a no spark issue? Luckily I do have a spare CAS as well...

Sorry for all of the questions. Just in a rut and would love to get her to fire up for just a second before I button her all up and tow her for all the custom piping that has to be fabbed up still.

thanks guys!!!

yeah... it needs a nissan "green" relay , like the ones that come in your engine bay fuse box. and the wire should be in your efi harness

LOL Ill start there... GSXRJordan ... awesome job actually, just my own lack of experience with RB's which is holding me back. Is it ok for the ECCS relay to have a jumper in it?

Going to pic-a-part today. Are all the green relays the same in the passenger side fusebox of the s13? Will those relays work or is the relay I need located else where in the car? If they dont have it I will go to nissan with the part numbers listed-

The green ones I have in my swap are all the same and are also the same as the greens in the chassis. The specs are on top of each one via a little diagram, and from memory there are blues, browns, and greens, all of each color being the same. Its a really common type anyways, you could probably look in about any nissan and get one.

I got the relay on and Baaam spark immediately. I will update in about an hour when I get the battery to charge enough to crank for me.
