ok so we did a rb20 swap on my friends car the last 3 weeks, now we have everything ready but the son of a ***** will not start, its getting fuel but no spark, so we try a dif ecu, dif ignitor chip, and a dif CAS and still no spark, when we turn the cas by hand we can hear the injectors click.

so we presume its wiring, but we have all the wiring hooked up the same as my rb swap wiring and mine runs fine. we extended maf wires, extended exhaust o2 sensor wires, swap from the rb 6 wire to the ka brown and grey wires, and under dash wires we have tach, speed signal, temp gauge and start signal all hooked up.

so any ideas y its not starting?

Perhaps the bread is too fresh. You need to let it settle for a bit.

On a serious note did you check your spark plugs? Perhaps even your timing?

Check the center wire, make sure it gets constant power...

Also, if you are not getting spark, make sure you have the 2 wires hooked into the ecu..

1 gets put in between the 2 green relays, 1 sends start signal to it...

what he is talking about is that there should be 2 big green relays on your rb20 harness near the ecu. are they there and hooked up and clicking, when you try to start?

Check for continuity between the ECU and the ignitor and then from the ignitor to the coil packs.

I forget which pins they are exactly but just look at the wires that are plugged into the ignitor (lets just say one is a red wire with yellow stripe), go to the ECU and find the red wire with yellow stripe and hold one of your probes on it, hold the other probe on the wire where it plugs into the ignitor. Do this for all the wires. Then go from ignitor to coils.

Try and check the bolt on the big blue plug (ECU) . If the bolt is not in the whole way , it can be no or poor contact ..
