Washed the car today, and figured I'd take a few pics.

Intake, y-pipe, underdrive pulley, Tein H-tech springs with Tokico Illuminas, and a hole cut in the floor to let me "Flintstone" down the track...j/k it's an automatic, so I tend to give her hell for being slow.

That Tein H-Tech drop is looking better and better every time that I see it...

Coupled with the adjustability of the Illumina's, it's a great ride. As you can see, I still have the stock 16's on, and I find myself wanting just a little bit more drop. But with a larger wheel, I believe the drop would be nearly perfect. I don't know anyone who went with the S-techs for a comparison on drivability.

How rough is the ride with the Tiens?

I have the same exact setup as Scott besides me having ES bushings and I can honestly say that the ride is the same as stock on soft settings, but then it will handle like it's on rails on firmer settings. I do not know what part the springs play in that because the teins are the only that I've had with the illuminas.

How much are they(both shock/spring) and why did you pick the Illuminas(Tokiko right?) over the AGXs?

Your car looks great Maxhopper I saw it at the Louisville meet. How far did the Tiens drop your car. I need to drop mine this summer. Nick

jdmfreak03: I got both through group deals on another site. Currently they are avaliable for the following: Springs $170 shipped, and shock/strut $425 shipped. If you want, e-mail me and I'll send you links for the deals. I mainly went with the Tokico's based on their reputation and adjustability...nothing against the AGX's, they're good pieces as well.

574-240sx: Thanks, I remember seeing the car, but I don't recall meeting you. When are you going to make it down here for another Louisville meet? With the crew down here, the Maximas are always being represented well, and we always welcome new blood. Anyway, my combo dropped me about 1 1/2" all around. My front end sits slightly lower than Cullen's because mine is an auto, which weighs a bit more than the manual. Easy swap if you know what you're doing and have the right tools, Cullen and I had mine done in around 3 hours if I remember correctly.

I got to the dyno place late because I had to pull my friends 280Z off the highway with the maxima. I had to fetch a tow strap at the local walmart. That why I got there a little late. Louisville is quite a haul for me. I'll bring the 240 next time, it gets a little jealous of the maxima's attention.
