frequent "skid light" seen

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

i have had other awd cars and never saw the "skid light" light as much as this one. i have the 18 inch wheels. this occurs on acceleration on wet pavement. i just dont get that all wheel drive feeling. does the vsc play a role in this? i found all the tires were over inflated by the dealer and corrected that. it is somewhat better. any comments appreciated, thanks nick

I got my car in april (spring time). So I have hardly seen the skid signal. I have only seen it if i over-steer and accelerate in a corner (kinda like drifting, but won't drift because of the skid thing).

this is part of the vdc or vehicle dynamic control. It works in unison with the traction control and the Intelligent AWD. The AWD is different in the Infiniti's than most vehicles. Most of the time you are driving a RWD vehicle. If the vehicle feels any type of slippage, it will transfer up to 50% of the power to the front end. Most AWD systems are full time AWD. The Infiniti System allows for better performance capablities and also reduces gas consumption. Hope this helps you out!
