can someone tell me how to change the freon in 92 240sx after being retrofit? and how much is it to retrofit anyway?

I've heard it's about $150-200 or so...not sure if that is accurate, but I believe they only have to change 1 or 2 parts and then refill the system with R134a which is cheap stuff.

Depends on how good a retrofit you want. You can get a generic kit from Pep Boys that will provide the legal R-134a quick-connect fittings, which just screw on, along with some canned R-134a/oil, and a sticker to indicate the new coolant. But don't be surprised when the system fails in 15 months due to mixing incompatible lubricants with the water-saturated drier. Or maybe all the R-134a will leak out because the hoses weren't repalced with barrier hoses. A proper conversion requires replacing all seals and flexible hoses, flushing out the condenser/lines, and replacing the compressor and drier before refilling with refrigerant and oil..
