I have about 300 miles on my motor since it was rebuilt. A few days ago I got a coolant leak. I checked it out and the freeze plug right behind that hard line for the pcv is missing and coolant pours right out there....

wtf

I'm going to sand paper the hole down till it's clean then i'm going to apply red loctite to the hole and freeze plug and then hammer it in with a socket and hammer.. Sound good?

I can't believe I have to pull this motor for a 68 cent part...

Dude i feel you pain, i did this earlier this summer. I did slight sanding of all the ports and used very thin layer of silicone. No issues yet.

I got the PCV and starter removed and i was able to get the new plug installed

I used the Nissan gasket maker stuff that comes in the full gasket kit. If it works on the oil pan and water pump then it should be fine on the freeze plug. I put a little around the freeze plug after I sanded the hole clean.

Tomorrow I'll get that PVC and starter back in and see if it holds up....

I need to buy a new line for the PVC, I used to small of a hose and forgot that i never had it fully installed and that also explains why I drip a little bit of oil.. At least this whole thing is going to get that solved.

I also got my LC-1 wide band controller! I cannot wait to start data logging with this and get this car's A/F tuned really nice. Then it's time for the dyno to get the spark tuned and make some power!!!
