This is probably resolved by now....but in case anyone else has this kind of problem all you have to do is drill out the stud. Just drill right through the top of the lug nut right into the stud.
It may be easier to start with a smaller bit like 1/8th (or less) and then work your way up.
If the drill bit "grabs" the stud and starts spinning it (what you're hoping for actually), you're home free. Just stick an open end wrench over the lug nut and it may just unscrew itself as you're spinning the stud with the drill. If it doesn't, just keep increasing your bit size until you've drilled away the stud.
Also, a little oil will help to keep you from burning up/dulling your drill bits.
