A buddy of mine gave me this turbo

http://shop.vendio.com/crowder...01362

T3/ .48 AR 50 trim

trying to convince me that it should go on before my tuning date, but its smaller then the stocker thats already onm there which I have zero problems with.

So i guess the question is- smaller turbo w/ 20-22lbs of boost or stocker with 12 lbs

Anyway any help would be appreciated.

What make you think it smaller than the stock turbo??????????????? Stock is a hybrid T-3/T-28...with ceramic wheel and liminted boost...

I was under the impression that the stock turbo had a .63AR? Or does that first comp wheel 48x66 mean .48ar

RB25 turbo specs -

25t comp wheel 48x66comp cover .60 a/rturbine wheel 51x43.5 a/r turbine hsgaround 300hp0

That exhaust A/R looks teeny tiny to me. You need a compressor map to see if you will outflow that turbo or end up to the left of the surge line.

I dont have a stock compressor map but here is the one from Turbonetics. Not like i really am educated quite yet on how to read them-- so maybe someone can lend a helping hand?

http://turboneticsinc.com/foru....html

its the 50 trim .48 ar. Like it says on the description for small displacement motors etc etc.... I get its not the ideal turbo upgrade---I am just wondering if its worth it to throw on the RB or not, run an external gate and have for the most part a pretty linear turbo powerband. Power goals for my car are 350(usable)whp.

Thanks guys

-Eric

The T3 Performance Series Turbocharger is ideal for small displacement engines with horsepower returns ranging from 150HP to 325HP.... directly from the site you linked. These are flywheel numbers as well.

Too small, not worth the hassle IMO.

i would love to sell a brand new turbo for 650 less then its worth to you but i just picked up a civic hatch for dirt cheap and im gonna throw it on there just for fun. Lets see what a stock cx motor can handle! yay

although--- ill tell ya what--- I can do 200 bucks but its gonna cost 500 in shipping.

It depends, are they rubber ducks or real ducks?I'd go for the rubber ones.

That turbo is way too small for an RB...I say sell both and buy a holset.
