Free Ka24e Sohc Short Block 4 P/up

People, I got a FREE '89 KA24E short block that I personally removed due to a cracked head. This was the original motor I had on my car, and when I pulled it out it had 173,000 mi. on it. I dissasembled the whole thing so it'll be easier to carry and load. It's including the pistons, connecting rods, crankshaft and some other crap I threw in a box. Don't know what condition it's in, but hey! it's FREE so there. I got it sitting in my garage, can't sell it, don't want it! Only serious people, night (after8:30pm) or weekend pickup only. Just an update. Had the blocked checked for cracks and it's fine. In very good condition according to machine shop. still up for grabs however.

are the rings on the pistons good?

yeah, they will hold up fine for about another 100k mi or so. but I would highly recommend gettting it rebuilt just to be safe. that way the thought "I should've rebuilt it" won't be in the back of your mind. If anyone is thinking of starting a project motor, this would be ideal because it's already torn down, and you could begin upgrading the pistons, connecting rods, bearings, rings, and even modify the crankshaft (knife-edge (faster revs), polish, balance, & shot-peen).
