The other day my car got broken into, so now my car is lighter by:1 passenger side window1 Apexi-SAFC1 JVC CD Player1 Bell Radar Detector

Seriously though, this does fit into technical, here's how.

I have 370cc injectors, and the SAFC was tuning -27% to compensate for the bigger injectors(I'm going turbo soon). Well, without the SAFC, my car wouldn't run right because it was running so rich. Here's what I did.

I cut a hole in the plastic intake pipe after the MAF, and played with the size until it was running right. I also, vaguelly tuned it using my air/fuel meter(yes, I know they're not that accurate, but they're better than nothing). Then, I put a "filter" over the hole to keep some dirt out.

Anyway, the car actually runs great now. You wouldn't even know there wasn't a fuel computer in it. This is just a temporary fix until I can afford some new fuel management.

I know WD has talked about using a similar "fuel management" as an alternative to a hacked MAF. Well, I guess I'm the guinne pig, and it definately does work. Although, I will have some real fuel management before my turbo goes on.

Whoa, DENTON? Yay for us! I'm actually up there at UNT myself. Sucks your car got broken into though, where was this? Hope it wasn't my neighborhood :( I also heard of a car getting stolen from the Coventry Apartments last week, its not making me feel too good about bringing the KAT up there.

Well, actually, I don't live in Denton anymore. I moved to Colorado a few months ago, but I'll be back in town visiting friends next week.

Haha, damn...there goes my chance at meeting another local 240 guy. Oh well, I cant blame you, Colorado beats Denton in every way I can think of.

Zig,

Where do you live in CO?

Did your car get broken into in TX or CO?

BTW, the links on your site don't seem to be working...

I live in the Denver area, actually Arvada. The car got broken into in Westminster on Wadsworth, which is a very busy street.

Hmm, what links on my site aren't working? Email me at [email protected].
