Meh.. I just hopped on this deal but then found out that you need to send your factory boot in. What a waste.

Im not going to drive around without my factory boot or e brake plastic cover..

If any one is going to do it , do it soon!

Haha, it's funny you asked! I just sent the dude an eMail this morning.

He's had my stuff for over a month now and I haven't heard anything from him.I sent this to him on March 12th:

Quote »I sent you an email a couple of days ago regarding the shift boot and arm rest I sent you. According to the tracking information, it arrived at your place. I'm just curious as to how long the process usually takes. I'm really excited to see how it turns out!

Cheers,Eric
...and his response to me was:

Quote »Hello,

We will begin working on it shortly.

Thank you again,

Shift Style
I used to work with 8+oz leather making body armor and nothing we ever did took this bloody long! The Shift Style website has also been down for a few weeks too... Thing's ain't lookin' good at the moment........ *sigh*

Thanks LBC, totally appreciate your looking out for us! The guy has been pretty good for getting back to me (returns eMails within a day or so). From the sounds of it, it's a one-man operation so a part of me is willing to forgive some tardiness... That being said, BlueBatmobile is a one-man show too, right? There's no reason Shift Style shouldn't have the same quality of service that BlueBat does...

Not all "one man shows" return emails on a daily basis...

I know I do! and I ship daily as well! LBC Overlays with 1 day turnaround!

Keep us posted as im sure this will be a "must have" for the MT crew!

Alright guys! I just got my stuff back and DAAAAAMN does it ever look amazing! The only problem that I can see is that the top part of the shift boot (where the button clasp is) is a little short so I'm going to have to stretch it a bit to get the two ends to meet (and inform Shift Style to increase the diameter by about 3/4cm. The arm rest, however, is PURE SEX!!! I'm really impressed with the job he did!

Unfortunately, this is just a teaser for now (taken with my iPhone). Once I'm done writing what is probably the most important paper of my university career, I'll have a chance to take some better pics and get it all installed again (along with a how-to).

Hey...don't knock the burgundy... It's actually MUCH darker in person. It should match the Katzkin burgundy pretty well...

The quality of this work is awesome. The stitching is straight, thick, and tight (that's what she said...), and the leather itself is top-notch. I'll try and get some more pics up tomorrow evening if I get some time to re-install everything. Not having a proper armrest for two months sucked!
