I'm really tempted to go down to Nopi this year. I went 3-4 years ago while I was living in TN and it was a great time. I'll let you know later, but I would definitely be down for a nice carpool!

We had some crazy NICO Convoys down Shouth before.Image 30+ cars careeing over an interstate at 100 mph in broad daylight.

Cops would jump out like shark and hit a citation while the rest pressed on..Pretty hardcore..

Fred I may have to take you up on the offer with the spec-v. I think I really want to go and I don't see why I couldn't beause I certainly have a enough time to put in for the leave. I'm offering to be a co-pilot (I have driven to florida before and will share on the gas filling) or just a passenger, it doesnt matter to me.

Call me gay, but I DO NOT WANT TO GET A TICKET AT ALL, so if I'm driving my car or anyone else's I will not being to doing any speed I'm not comfortable with.

I believe I will be driving around in the Spec V, picking people up some time Friday. We will have to confirm with Fred. I had also mentioned to him about him registering the car, and us(the people going in the spec) paying him back!

Thats cool, I was just offering to help out with any driving if I decide to go, I've done the drive before (longer actually) and for one person to do it sucks.

Im just saying if the cars in front of me are doing 100-130+mph I'm not going to risk a ticket...cops aren't too bad once you get out of VA.

Are there any plans set up as of yet regarding departure times, what days are we coming and going (?friday-monday or friday-sunday?), where are we sleeping, etc. etc.

Me and three other guys drove from Northern maryland to ft. lauderdal in less than 15 hours, that includes a 2hr detour through daytona beach...we only stopped for gas (4times) and a strip club (they made a nice breakfast)...we only exceeded speed limits by like 30mph or so, but figure that the driving was done in the middle of night on a friday so we weren't fighting traffic or cops.

If fred enters the specV and I go I will help out with whatever cost

That makes more sense, I thought you said you wanted to be there Friday afternoon, but I also thought you said you wanted to leave Friday afternoon. I misheard you on the last one!!

I took vacation from Thursday morning to the following tuesday night! I am cool with any times!

All that we ask is that you contribute some to gas!! Would be rather cheap compared to driving yourself. We could use some more company!! Its going to be fun. There is no reason for you all not to go now, the most expensive part(getting there) is taken care of!

I was all gung-ho about this...then I just realized that my best friend's wedding is on the 17th... and now my week/weekend is somewhat ruined. The wedding is much more important though. Have fun guys! Take LOTS of pictures!
