Alright guys here we go. I ordered one of these cheapo cast intakes off of ebay as you may be aware. I assumed some work was going to be required to make this manifold work well and I was correct. I have had a greddy in my hands and they do look better fit/finish wise and I have to imagine the ports look better. Everything is superficial until you get to the actual runners that don't line up with the gasket well. I will let the photos explain. Save yourself the "you got what you paid for" comments. I had expected to be doing work, and I can fix what's wrong. This manifold (at least) is definitely not acceptable to bolt up as-is without port matching and a bit of welding.

Godspeed? Isis? Isis supposedly has better QC, though its still a knockoff... vs. Godspeed which is hit or miss.

How much did u end up spending?

Greddy new is at least $600 bucks. These are between $150 to $300.

People scrutinize the porosity of knockoffs, but I bet the real thing is just as bad.

I'd support the real product if it weren't so ridiculously marked up.

New greddy for $600? Where? That's a good used price. I have seen a greddy in person and the one I saw was much better than this. Like I said though, this is kind of what I had expected. If the Isis runners line up well for $300 it's a better deal.

It was a couple hundred bucks shipped from some guy on ebay.

the question here is how much is your time worth...
and a new greddy manifold is close to 1200$ now, they've stopped production on them.

Exactly. That's for each person to decide. Everyone that complains about them says they don't have the same fit and finish but never mentions that the runners are not in the right spot. I have everything I need to fix this manifold already in my toolbox.

I bought an isis. Took a dremel tool to it and port matched it. Simple work. Im not a baller so I cant spend a grand on an intake manifold.

Can you get the manifold fasteners through the holes in the casting and gasket too? Do they line up closely enough or will you have to drill them a bit?

Holes line up fine depending on how you look at it. You can shift the gasket to cover the runners a bit better but then you would need to slot all the bolt holes which would be pretty lame. I will use the cast bolt holes and bolt the gasket down to scribe for my template.

Tim, please do. I am not sure if this is unique to my manifold or not.

I checked it was off like yours. I used a grinding bit and a file took 30min just sharpie what needs to be removed, As long as the ports match the head it will flow. The port in the back for the water can be opened up quite a bit to match mine wasn't even a square. I used JB Weld on the water neck and Teflon tape on the nipple fittings (hope I wont need to go back rtv/liquid tape the threads instead)

So it was a lot closer than mine was? I should probably have returned mine to the seller. Live and learn! Glad to hear yours was hassle free though.

All of the runners needed nearly 1/8" removed on the same side. I circled where I had to grind (COULD have been opposite half of the runners I forget which way it was turned towards me when I lined up the gasket I just wanted u to see what I meant

I had to port about that much off of the side of each runner, but the problem is that the other side of that runner is obstructed by the gasket in some areas which is very bad news for flow. I am having a friend tig weld some material in there so I can fix it.
