Paging through the new Stillen catalog last night while drooling, I came to page 68. On page 68 is a killer, '94 Q45 sliding sideways. I looked again, and it is exactly like Fred's new Q, right down to the white sticker in the rear quarter window. Same wheels, same size tires, rear lip, etc.

Now, how many '94 Q's are modded in the exact same way? Not many! Pretty wild.

Fred seems to have this way of acquiring cars that are in print. If anyone recalls, his previous Q was caught doing a burnout in Sport Compact Car magazine. Now this one is in the Stillen catalog. Way to go Fred!

Seems he always winds up with the car AFTER it becomes famous, too! Congrats Fred! Once again, our Admin hits the BIG TIME!

That's awesome - Repo, can you scan it or post a pic somehow?

I gotta buy a digicam and get some pics of Quella!

Yeah, I'll scan it as soon as I figure out my new scanner/copier/printer deal.

We need to see a pic of Quella's big 'ol bootie sliding sideways! Put that Bondurant training to some good use!

Fred's Q's are all amazing, so they deserve to be in print. you think it was Rex driving the car when it got the pic snapped? wonder if he knows about it? thats awesome though. congrats Fred.

I'm all over that - Just gotta find a safe location with lots of light and a couple "spotters" and a videographer.

Can anyone here convert Hi-8 or VHS to mpeg?

There is no way that it's not your car. You can see that it even has the "Superchips" die-cut stickers in the rear quarter windows. And I have never seen another Q of that era have a wheel/tire combo that massive.

Ben, my bet is that it was either Steve or Rod Millen sliding it sideways when the pic was snapped. Apparently, the two brothers did a commercial back in the day where two 240's did 360's side by side on a wet track and kept going. I'd like to get a copy of that video!

AZ, I have a friend that is an editor for a local ABC affiliate so I could probably have him convert it. I'll ask him.

Fred, that is so your car. It has to be the photography.

You say it's a dark green? The photography changed it to red, but in the mag it looks like a dark purmple, but even that could be the photography I guess.

I don't really know. meh.

It's probably photoshopped. You can make a car any color you want from an original picture.

i don't know if this will post, was just doing a search when i stummbled across this thread,,,,,,,,,but, this pic was the genisis, the alpha, the seed planted in my heart for a ten year wait to get my hands on a Q!!!!(pretty dramatic, right!!) anyway, back in 94 i sent away for the stillen catalog looking for stuff for a Z. i came across the section on the Q's and fell in love, specifically the pic of fred's? car. well, i guess i have you to blame fred for my obsession with the Q! the wait has been worth it, couldn't be happier,,,,,,alright, maybe with a g35coupe or an M45 along side!LOl jeff
