I tried taking off my oil pan today, no success I tried everything, the plastic putty knife, then i tried hammering it in, then I tired something I wasn't supposed to, I took a thin flat head screw driver and tried to hammer it in between the upper and lower pan seal, nothing...and I mean nothing...

The oil pan has never been taken off before, it's factory sealed, car has 87K on it.

Not having a real gasket, defiantly doesn’t help...

Any help taking it off?

If you have a small hyd. jack or port-a-power you could wedge one end against somthing solid and the other part on the side of the pan and put some pressure on it.Or just get a 3lb. sledge and go at it

See the problem is that I can't wedge anything in there, I even tried a thin blade, ended up braking the tip...oops...

the hammer will dent that pan

Get a piece of 2 by 4 and hold it abainst the pan and hammer on it,you should'nt dent it.Oil pans are pretty tuff, and even if you do dent it a little you can always beat it back out when you get the pan off, good luck man.
