frame rails need work and need to get inspection on the car

i bought a car that has significant damage to the frame rails
it looks like previous owner jacked it up on the frame rails at least 5 times in the middle section on both sides and has caved in the rails and the front section where the frame rails bend up to the shell is all rusted out
i have to get it inspected before i can drive it on the road does anyone have a cheap method that will fix the frame rails and pass inspection

What inspection do you have to have your frame rails pass? Where are you that this happens? Just curious. I've seen people cut off and weld in new frame rails. I think there was a template going around the internet for those. I don't think there's anything "cheap" about chassis work, other than doing it yourself. Do you have access to a metal/ fabrication shop?

its just a regular inspection but i think the shop will say i need to get the rails fixed before it will pass

Can you please tell me about this 'inspection'? I'm just curious. I understand it's 'regular', but don't know what that is supposed to mean to me.

Probably something like "no rusting-through allowed on 'frame' sections".

You'll have to weld in new steel or apply fiberglass, apply undercoating, etc.
