How much work is involved in replacing an underbody frame rail? Mine is crushed, and is strating to rust

The frame rail was crushed from either some one not using a jack properly or someone running over something. it is the rear drivers side rail

your car is unibody. when you say frame rail are you talking about the rear subframe or the actual floor of the car. If it is the floor, your talking an entire floor pan. not even feasable job to consider doing on your car. If it isnt something you can let go you might wanna think about finding another S-13 and swap your running gear[it would be easier]

i bet he means the jack sill. its perfectly normal. happens when people dont jack the car up correctly.

that may be it, it is the rail right before the drivers side quarter panel

the "crimped" rail under the car on both sides, that your supposed to jack from right?

yeh thats it...

its crushed which makes it pretty hard for me to get jackstands under that side of the car

there are better places to put the jackstands. im not sure because i dont know what kind of car you have. look in the owners manual or an FSM if you have one.
