i've got an inline universal fpr (ebay version of meagan racing) with a nismo adaptor on my rb20 running the s14 fuel pump. when I try to adjust the fpr with the allen screw it doesn't do anything... doesn't fluctuate up or down (reads 35psi w/ or w/o vac., however it slightly drops pressure under acceleration. Is there another stock fpr somewhere, is this fpr junk, or could this just be because im trying to run the rb with the ka pump????

The KA pump is made for an NA motor. It cannot supply enough fuel for a turbo 6 cyl. I would also not recommend cheaping out on an AFPR. There are some things that are important enough to pay the money for and IMO AFPR is def in that category.

Make sure you have it hooke up correctly or adjusting it in the right way.

The pressure should be something like 43 at idle then go down.Double check that.

Get a walbro!! or something.

yeah.... i'm gonna get a z32turbo fuel pump from a friend tomorrow. but when I adjust the screw on the fpr almost all the way out or all the way down to where the nut cap wont even fit anymore, it doesn't change the fuel pressure. and i tried flipping it around just in case it was hooked up backwards and it didnt even read fuel pressure anymore... so i know its hooked up right. My only big question is.... Why wouldn't the pressure change with and without vac. and why won't adjusting the screw either way all the way up or down change the pressure????

Check to make sure you are getting vac from a strong source, ie directly from the manifold. Also if the lines are hooked up right and you get no pressure increase decrease with the adjustment knob, more than likely the fpr is no good. make sure the gauge you are using is also working properly

in your other post it says you have not recieved your nismo fuel rail adapter. Not to insult your intelligence, but did you remove the stock fpr on the fuel rail? that could be screwing things up.

We have a saying in the army: crap in, crap out. you could have the best equipment out there, but if its not put together right, it is no good at all. you gotta start with a good solid platform before you start throwing extra stuff on there. te more stuff you throw on there the harder it will be to diagnose the problem. so if you get it back to or as close to stock as you can, then work out any glitches. THEN, start adding things, work out glitches, add somthing else, etc. There are always glitches.

I am done pontificating, good luck, and keep us posted!!

yeah... i got the nismo adapter on... in place of the old fpr and it still doesn't adjust or change fuel pressure when i use the allen screw in the universal fpr or remove the vacuum line. getting a walbro in the mail next week tho... plans fell through on the z32 pump.

go to autozone and pick one up.I think i have one.

I know my fuel pump went in my old s13 and I know I changed it. But I'm not sure if its a Z32 pump or not.

So if you know what the difference between the Z32 and the S13 pump is let me know.

not sure of the differences... but im pretty sure they interchange with minor or no mods. Anyways....... I got my walbro in and its pushin a steady 70psi and my fpr still will not adjust down at all!!!! I'm guessing my fpr is trash!

If you're running the stock turbo, get rid of the FPR and put the stock one on, theres not really a need to mess with it untill you really start upping the boost and have larger turbo.
