I read a thread I had originally started, and one of the guys said " read the thread about the FPR thats going around". I don't quite know what he means, is he suggesting that with an rb25det to s14 swap, i'd need an aftermarket FPR, or can I run the stock one? I'm running a walbro unit right now. I have searched, but all i find is which ones will work with which and prices brands etc, not whether i need one for the swap.

if you arent a member there, or are too lazy, what the problem is the walboro pump (255lph) flows more fuel than a stock regulator can handle, so your pressure goes up. id definatley reccomend the nismo unit.

Ahhh that explains why my sr on another car used to pop flames a lot =).

Anyhow why not get a unit which has a gauge built in? otherwise how can you tell how much fuel pressure you're running with something like the nismo unit without buying a gauge as well?

the only ones that i know of that have built gauges are generic ones, id never run one on my engine.

and a cheap inline FPR is like 30$ and 10$ for the fitting.

I am running a aeromotive fpr. It works tits. I taped into the end of the rail and ran a steel braided line so I could mount it on my frame rail. I replaced the stock fuel system with braided lines, and an aeromotive a1000 fuel pump with the kick down box. If you wanted to keep your stock fuel lines you can take another piece of braided fuel line and clamp it on right above the filter.

BoostDesigns sells a gauge/FPR combo for 100bucks, plus they are a NICO sponsor.

Is that a stock replacement or one of the ones that you have to custom fit. I don't see boostdesigns on the banner ads
