Pretty simple the fuel pump won't run or will run intermittently.

Rarely you might get into one of 3 modes [pump speeds] dropping out, as the 3 speeds are set by ecu from throttle load..............again a rarer situation.

Pump speed is set by voltage and volume and back pressure* ASSUMING all commutators are clean and functioning.

* The filter sock on input rarely get dirty/c;ogged enough to materially change suction resistance........................fuel density from blend and temperatre can change pump rpm as can resistance of copper winding = cold winter speed vs hot summer speed.

I've since sold the FPCUs that I initially advertised but have another from a 95' for $70 shipped if you still want it.
