I have the fpbig28 and I love it, 307whp 300ft/llbs of torque, full boost at 3k rpm(17psi) and doesnt die out at high rpm. Thats pretty efficient to me.

how wussy... 3k! I don't spool till 4400rpm..What are you gonna do with power that low! How pointless /scarcasm. I think the turbos are about the same. Powerwise. The S15BB will probably spool faster though and have better pre-spooled power.

i am refering to compressor outlet temps being high. seems like a great bargain though.

I am not a fan of the FP-Big28, It makes decent power but it isn't efficient. As stated by someone else, it has higher outlet temps than say most garret turbos of similar size, my understanding is that it is the miss-matched compressor wheel to the housing that causes this. Either way I say get the S15 turbo, it makes the SR feel amazing with its powerband.

I second sgpnismo comment about FP big-28. I have one. I can't compare that turbo with anything else since this is my turbocharged car and I upgrade the turbo that came with my redtop to big-28 since it had a lot of shaftplay on it.However, I'm pretty satisfied with the big-28. It pulls strong to the red line. I'm at 17 psi boost with PE 550cc/min, Z32 MAF, Greddy FMIC, & JWT ecu. I never dyno the car but it sure feels strong. I also cannot comment on efficiency & stuff, but personally I'm satisfied with it.It's $795 + shipping (modified by Force Performance out of Texas, a well-known shop in DSM community). Since it's the same housing as the stock turbo, installation is the straight forward.I would recommend the FP big-28. If you need more research, do it in Freshalloy forum, and search under big 28. A lot of info.

such a tough decision. I like both, but the big 28 isnt a bad turbo. Id probably go with the s15 one just for the sake of having one that was "factory" more or less--but im a drok.

I/m running the stock T25 with a BLitz FMIC (Huge core, huge piping) and I get 13.5psi by 3300rpm or so.
