94Teggy posted something about a turbo thats on Forced Perfomances web site, well come to find out they are 30 minutes from me. I tried to call but I guess they are closed. Im curious what hp this fp big 28 will support. Anyone curious? Im gonna be doing a head job and replace my head gasket and this would be a neat little beast under the hood if it does what they say. I'll proly replace the stock manny to. Actually I will upgrade a few other goodies. What do ya'll think? Anyone know more about it.

I'm not positive but i believe it's a T28/T3 hybrid and you send them your T25 and they rebuild it and send it back to you and it's a direct bolt on to your stock manifold.

But like I said i'm not sure. A. Bailey over at 240sxforums.com has this turbo and I'm sure could answer any of your questions about it.

Here's his profile over there that has contact info and his site.http://www.240sxforums.com/for...id=17

Hey... i just ordered a turbo kit from heavy throttle and i believe Jeff, the owner that sold me the kit, told me that it is better than the t-28bb from the s-15. Those are able to handle 280-300 max. He said that this fp big 28 will easily do 320 maybe 340 with the right ubgrades. If your looking for a good kit call him up. He only has 3 left and that was last wed. The kit is 2300 and comes with the fp big 28, z-32 maf and greddy air intake, 550 denso injectors, jwt ecu, and all the hardware to put it in. In addition to the kit, I bought a blitz fm intercooler and blitz bov. my total was 3400. by the way.. what is force performances web site? thanks

No prob man.

On A. Bailey's site it says he's putting down 325rwhp 342rwtq with the following:Big 28JWT ECUAPEXi 740cc injectorsZ32 MAFGreddy FMICGreddy Type-S BOVGreddy 80mm Downpipe3in Test PipeAPEXi 3in N1 CatbackWalbro 255lph Fuel Pump

That's pretty damn impressive IMO. Way better than the project Silvia in SCC and at about half the cost : )

Good luck to both of you with your setups. And remember to post pics.

i think the 740cc inj. are a little much. 550cc denso's are good for 400 hp. I have almost the same setup besides the downpipe and fuel pump, in which i will change later on.. probably to a walbro or z32 fuel pump and i'm going to get a blitz down pipe. Bailey went with greddy goods and i'm going with blitz...... oh well. I'll post pics next week of my progress. Jeff at heavy throttle said i'd be getting the stuff early to mid part of next week. the intercooler may take 2-3 weeks though cuz he was out of them.. he had greddy, hks, hybrid brand and something else. but i wanted a blitz. later..

The T-28 from Forced Performance is not a ball bearing. The Big-28 is just FPs version of it, and it's about the same as a Big 16G. The T-28 is a pretty common Garrett turbo for the DSM world. It will support generally between 300-350 to the wheels on a DSM depending on your tuning ability and mods.

As for 550s being able to handle 400... umm, I'll let you test that one. On my Talon, my 550s stopped suppling enough fuel somewhere around 330whp. Guys making 400+ run at minimum, 720cc. Making over 500, most guys run 1000cc.

thanks for the info diamond. I knew that the big-28 from FP was not bb. That was the only downside to the turbo. Jeff at Heavy Throttle said that in Aug. they would be supplying a better kit for about 3400 that would have a bb turbo that would be similar to the big-28. BB=$$$$ usually around 1000 bux more. I'll find out how these 550cc. inj. do. I'm looking to push 300-325hp.. so if i get around there i'll be happy.

I got my T-25 rebuilt into a "big T-28", but I got it from this place in Texas, http://www.turbochargers.com They were talking a bunch of smack about FP, they had some pretty funny stuff to say. I'm not a big fan of businesses who bad mouth other business, but then again they are from Texas and deal with mostly DSM's, so put those two factors together and....well what do you expect.

The place in texas has been in business for over 20 years and they seem to know what they are doing. There price was also a bit cheaper than FP's. I talked with both co's and finally decided to go with the place in texas

As far as the turbo goes I would have to say I am definitley happy with it. But I did the turbo upgrade before I even swapped my motor, so I can't really give a comparision over the stock T-25. The only other SR I have ridden in had a FMIC and was running higher boost, I do not. That car seemed to have more kick off the line, but I think I pull harder through the higher rpm's.

I want to eventually run about 300hp and I think this turbo will help me reach this goal more reliably than with the T-25. If 300hp is even possible with the t25. I just got my swap running a few days ago, so for now I'm happy with a SMIC,stock boost and the fact that I have tons of room for improvement :)

You probably can. Reg. T25, no way, unless you mean heavily rebuilt t25. Sounds cool though.

I live by turbochargers.com and they seem like nice people, and they have some ultra-fast DSMs.
