Found the (weird) reason my bluetooth mic sounded quiet?

I posted a couple of weeks ago asking whether other people had experienced problems with the quality of their bluetooth microphone in the Versa.

I think I might have figured out part of the problem and it's kind of weird. The speed-adjusting volume on the stereo system appears to have a negative effect on the level of the volume received by the microphone. When I have it turned on, the quality of audio for people listening to me (as well as recorded names) is poor. But since turning the speed adjustment off, the quality is much improved. There is no logical reason why this should make a difference, but it appears to work.

The reason I never knew any better was because at the dealership, the salesperson turned on the auto volume adjusting setting for me (presumably to demonstrate that he knew random features of the car!).

I now have people telling me "You were on your car's speakerphone?!?" - so there is obviously an improvement.

The voice recognition still s*cks, but this could very well be because I trained it before I figured out the fix. Is there a way of deleting voice recognition profiles, or will I have to fill profile 2 and then re-record profile 1?

Anybody else experience this?

Steve
