First I'd like to say thanks to everyone for all the info I've been reading up on lately. I just purchased a 93 j30 recently that seems to be a pretty damn good car for $1500 LOL.
I am having a problem with my transmission jumping btwn 3rd and OD when slowing down real slow or maintainging a speed of 35-45ish' mph.
I've done the transmission self diagnostics test and I have a code for flash rev sensor, which I understand can be changed without tilting transmission (thank goodness). And one for torque converter solenoid, I've searched a small amount on this and can't seem to find any info. Anyone know about this? At first I was reading the tps or neutral safetry switch could be the source of my issues, but now I'm kinda confused since there may be 4 things I could possibly change. Anyone have a positive idea of what I need to do without spending tons of money on all four.
Btw, the car is a little over full on at fluid(I know I need to do a drain and fill quickly, the previous owner just poured some in thinking it was low) thanks in advance

the tps and neutral safety switch can be adjusted manually to within spec. just need to have a digital multi meter and measure what it is reading. tps should be around 0.48V. The FSM also tells you how to adjust the neutral safety switch as well.

Would these be the cause of my diagnostics reading revolution sensor and torque convertor solenoid? Or do I need to change both of these as well?

Overfilled transmission fluid can cause transmission slipping. Drain the excess fluid ASAP otherwise you'll cook the transmission.

Yuh I'm draining and refilling it in the next couple days. I've been easy oin it until I can do that. But according to the previous owner it was doing the constant weird shifting from 3rd to overdrive, which for some reason he put more in instead of checking it, I have no idea why LOL. But do you know what/where the torque converter solenoid is/does, and if I should change that as well as revolution sensor. And I'm gonna have to meter out the tps and neutral safety switch. I'm assuming I can find he fsm here somewhere. I am using my blackberry because my computer is messed up right now, so its a lil difficult finding things haha
