I was looking at something under my hood and then I found this. Does anyone have any idea what it is?

It is to tie down your battery, found mine in the same place on my s14 lol. I was like wtf, then figured it out.

It's your battery tie-down. Youre lucky you didnt lose it on the highway.

Check the battery tray for rot, it shouldnt have just fallen off unless the nuts holding it down were very loose. The two rods that hook into the battery tray and run up either side of the battery to tie into that piece probably ARE missing. or do you have a custom one?

Check you oilpan. Your crank might be laying in there...
