I finaly had enough time to pull my front cover off. looking and messing around with the gluids and tensioner, i found that i could not move the gluid on the tensioner side at all. even after removing the tensioner. so looks like the problem was not the tensioner, but the fact that the machine shop put it together incorectly. still going to replace all the gluids, tensioner and prokets even though they are all new. also the exhaust side gluid is about half was eaten though with only 1500 miles on it. never again will i trust someone else to work on my car.

No the Tensioner side gluide was to thick, so when they put the bolt in, it monted the gluide furmly in place. witch in turn left slack in my timing chain, that the tensioner was unable to pick up. I put the new stuff on, and its working great. should have it all together tomorrow.

Quick question - Could i just jackup the transmission after i unbolt the engine and transmission monts to make enough room to get the oil pan out so i can clean up the sealing suface? or do i have to get an engine hoist?
