Let's see... replace screws that don't strip out and have the ability to use a swivel head type wrench (especially useful on the back ones) with ones that are a major pain to get off unless the screwdriver is set dead on and sometimes even tapped in with a rubber mallet. Seems like a great idea!

Your car though... if you like it that's what counts! :bigthumb:

I also had problems removing several phillips screws. My small, 10.8v Bocsh hammer drill with a new phillips bit took them out with no problem. I first tried the mallet method with no luck - the slots had been slightly rounded from previous injector replacements. Like the rest of you, I invested the time to find and buy hex head screws - I beleive in the 'pay me now or pay be later' motto

I still have those screws as a future museum piece so everyone knows what Q45 owners went through. I will never use them to hold injectors as I have hex bolts thanks to the previous owner, not OEM but hell its better than those easy stripping Philips screws.
