Interesting, a friend of mine had pretty much the exact same car. I think the only difference was it had Corvette Rallys on it instead of hubcaps, comfy car though for sure.

I had one of these for my first car and despised it at the time:

I have my times I miss it now, it was extremely comfortable and nice to drive. The brakes would throw you through the winshield if you weren't careful though :squint:

I am soooo tempted to go pick this one up and bring it home! No garage space and waste of money though...

I should right... I emailed a pic home I already have 3 cars in my 3 car garage and am storing a 4th car in VA. I don't have the space for it and would rather put the cash somewhere else. It is tempting though right.

*** edit to add, I wonder if they would take my G35 as trade :rotfl

Wow, I leased an 1988 for my wife, exact same color. the last reliable ford vehicle I've had. Really enjoyed it too. I do remember the sensitive brakes especially when they were cold, and it rode like a baby carriage. Wonderful road trip vehicle, and everyone used to move over to let you buy 'cause they thought it was an unmarked police car. :bigthumb:

Yeah it was an excellent car and pretty classy even in 2000, all of my buddies thought it was a cool car, but I thought it was lame at the time and was pretty hard on it

My Grandmother bought it new, then my uncle bought it, then my mom, and then I drove it for a year until I got my truck, so it was in the family for quite some time. I wouldn't mind having another Grand Marquis someday, even the newest ones still were just as nice to drive around in. Although I wouldn't mind having a wagon either, with a supercharger or a turbo setup on it :naughty: :

My first car way back in 1989 was one almost exactly like this 1976 Chevy Monte Carlo Landau.

I didn't like these domestic boxes when I was a kid, but as time goes on I've come to appreciate their comfort and space, and in the case of the box body Caprice I even like their styling. That black and red paint is quite nice.

If it drives as well as it looks, I'd offer $1500 and cruise into the sunset.

Currently have 3 cars in my 3 car garage and a 4th car in storage in Virgina.

If I come home with a 5th car it will be a 1970-1972 240Z
