FOUND! Leaking PS hose

^^The hose removed, with cut slightly visible at top of bend.



^^ showing the outer casing split and lifting.....

Off to hydraulic specialist (Pirtek) in about an hour and a half to get it repaired..

more photos to follow (If they get it right!!!)

On the upside, I get to use the R32 skyline for the day!

^^ New hose all finished ($81 later!!!)



^^ New ends welded onto banjo fitting, wire brushed and clean



^^ Cheap but effective (I hope) protective braid, wrapped around hose.....

Now to install it (fingers crossed!)

Sorry to hear that Jesda..... Maybe the neighbours poodle gnaws the hoses while you are asleep!!!

I got the hose on.... no leaks..Happy!

PS. 15 mins ago, my strut brace arrived! Hurrah! Needs a polish (Its a bit scratched), and then will install it wednesday (My next day off)

Sure you wanna wait till Weds Oz? It only takes 15 mins and tranforms the car. I wonder why Nissan didn't make them standard OEM equipment from the start. It kind of dispels the notion that I hear every so often that goes something like... "If the manufacturer could have made such a big improvement for so little cost, don't you think they would have?"...In this case, they didn't!

Waiting 2 more days wont bother me, seeing as I have been waiting 2 months for it to arrive!!

(Maybe customs held onto it, thinking it was a weapon of mass destruction)
