At last, I found a 89 Gti Sunny harness! In Poland of all places...

In short this harness is a direct plug in to both my dash and all and is from a ca powered car - long story short it's a harness that'll fix my b12 sentra and plug into my ca18det...

Luckily, I've got a friend in Poland and even luckier is their exchange rate rules.

So the guy is like "It'll take me 2 days to remove all the wiring from the car, plus shipping to your friend - that'll be 300 polish zlotys". In other words about 85 bucks...

Btw, Dee did you know that Euro sentra's (sunny gti's) had factory rear disc brakes? It of course would be a direct bolt on for our sentra's - but no clue what pads would fit them...

I also got a shifter and boot since the Pulsar shifter is kinda extra long in the sentra...

Anyhow, this means I'll be getting my ca18det powered sentra back in the near future - man it's been so long....

Man you've been trying to get this thing on the road for a while now! Did you kill everyone at that shop that did the Haltech install?

Sorry I couldn't help you out with the harnesses but the Germans don't really like saving stuff like that. They pull the major stuff and crush the rest.

I did come across this Sunny while looking for parts. 14000 original Kilometers

Congrats on the find man . I hope this helps you get your whip to where you want it. As for the disc brakes, I knew europeans got discs on fancier sunnys, but I needed to pioneer something off USDM cars and thus why my conversions are something I don't recommend to the novice wrencher. I am one of the first to sport disc brakes on the B12s here in the U.S., but it really wasn't all that hard and they happen to work pretty normal. I use a B13 sentra's short shifter that's modified to work with the B12 and CA18 gear. In short, my sentras are all frankensteined out . But they are solid and can't wait to roll-out my new street sentra. The drag B12 will come later on this year.

So keep us posted and especially let me know the difficulty level of the wire install as I'm sure others will be watching as well.

Is he gonna send you the complete cabin harness? If so have him include the instrument cluster. Also...was there a digital climate control? If so..have him send that and all the sensors.

=)

Holy crap that's the newest looking ca engine I've ever seen. You could eat off that thing hehe.

Dee,

I already did the B13 break conversion on mine, was just surprised to see they had factory discs on B12's over there. Definitely would of been an easier conversion. You can't say mine isn't a frakenstein - I got the front clip from a Sunny, side skirts, and fabricated two bumpers to make the rear one work! Definitely another frakensentra.

mbmbmb23,

I don't know for certain if this one had digital or not, I know they had the same as ours also. I didn't get the speedo cluster, but my car has a coupe cluster in it already so everything will plug up. I've already got a euro cluster here at the house anyhow that I snagged the higher rpm tach out of...

I got ALL of the wiring by the way, from the headlights to the taillights. I really only needed the engine/cabin harness but heck best not take chances incase it has different plugs. Now to remove that old Pulsar harness...

Hopefully in a week or two I'll be heading to Knoxville to install the harness at the shop - then we can get this thing tuned and on the road...

I'm already eyeballing this other sentra here too - found a 91 Se-R I can get for about 800 bucks...I'm thinking half euro sunny, half Tsuru parts...

My harness came in today from Poland. Ended up costing me a total of 200 bucks for the parts and shipping together.

It's pretty cool basically it's a sentra harness that'll plug in to my sport coupe tach conversion as well as into EVERYTHING else, it even has the wires there for my fog lights already in place.

But the best part is - this sentra harness came with a ca18 engine harness that is all OEM plug and play!

I'll be heading down to Knoxville Monday to install it and FINALLY get this car a going!

Sorry, forgot to take the camera, but honestly it was more of a tear down than anything.

I had to remove the whole dash, the hood, fender, and cowl to remove just the body harness for the dash.

All in all everything plugged up with the exception of 2-3 plugs which will have to be taken from the old harness and pinned into the new harness.

Also, the harness that goes to the tail lights and fuel pump etc, has to be put back to the factory harness, oddly enough the ca18 us body harness does not plug into the ca18 euro harness, but rather the 1.6 factory harness for the tail lights etc plugs into the euro harness for a ca18...

weird...

Anyhow, I found it funny but folks were coming to the shop and bypassing the Mercedes, Porches, and SS Camaro's to look at the ca18det sentra with the euro front.

I will give you a blurry out of focus pic from when they were installing the intercooler tho...

Keep in mind the lower half of the front bumper is not on yet...
