All over the world, Nissan products are involved in road racing, track days, time attack and autocross.

Thought I would pass this one along.

SFI3.2A/5 TPP 29 three layer suit was $305 shipped, and that's damn better than anything else I have been able to find. Will let you guys know how it is after actually using it but quality looks decent so far.

Cool Find.

One of the guys on the local forum posted a few places to get used/cheap fire suites. I will see if I can find the thread and post the links.

Thanks for the links guys.

But quick question for you. At what point (meaning modifications, regularity of driving, etc.) would you deem it appropriate to wear a firesuit at say an HPDE or autocross?

That's a good question. As far as HPDE, it's completely optional, but if you're driving a full out race car, a fire suit is recommended. But if you're using a street car, longsleeved cotton clothing and sneakers will suffice.

Thanks. That's about what I figured. I'll hold off on the suit. I think I'll pick up some gloves and shoes though. Any recommendations? I figure they all probably have about the same comfort and feel.

Actually you'd be surprised by the variety and comfort/feel for both gloves and shoes. I recommend trying on a bunch to see what you like. For gloves, I went with a thinner G Force model, with a shorter bottom. You'll find several different thicknesses and lengths.

When I drove formula cars, I wore G Force brand shoes with the lowest tops available (better for me because I roll my ankle to heel/toe). But for HPDE's now, I just wear an old comfortable pair of leather Reebok tennis shoes
