it depends on a lot of things. what rebuild you do, stock, or aftermarket.250 is kind of high for a blown engine.im buying a whole 240 with a blown engine for 300 total.if you know the history of the engine, whats broken, if you can trust the shop, accessories, etc, maybe it would be a good buy.but on the other hand, if you assume it needs a full rebuild, if youre going to do it yourself, youre looking at around 1000 bucks (total, including engine purchase) to do it right.if youre looking at having someone else do it, youre looking at close to double.so maybe in that relation, the sr isnt that expensive after all?if youre going to just uproot your ka later to put in an overseas engine, you might as well skip this step. its not necessary and will add up very quickly.
