I just found another KA24de for my 240 and i have a few questions. I got the engine from someone who did the sr swap and i got it for 200 bucks....perfect except for it was with an auto transmission...What do i have to take off of my engine to make the other one work. Do i just swap the flywheel for the torque converter...Thanks for the help

There is a small bushing in the crank that needs to be removed. Inside the hole where the input shaft of the transmission goes.

Just as a heads up, you can rent a tool called a "Blind Hole Puller" (from a place like Autozone, like I did) which can really easily remove that bushing. It's 149$, but if you rent it you can bring it back and get a full refund. I highly suggest it.

New batch of questions..lol Since the motor is just chillin in my garage what should i do to it to get an edge? Keep in mind this motor will be on laughing gas. I was thinking porting and polishing the intake manifold, removing butterflies, and maybe porting the head. I do not want to spend a penny though, except for supplies. What do you guys think? Help me out a little

Well since nobodys posted, I believe a good p&p would be in order, and possibly some sort of fuel management, and a nice big turbo. Kthx.

(ps forget the RB25;))

You know Mark I'm a bit weary about you hand porting your intake mani...remember all the bad stuff thats happened when you've done otherwise harmless things to your engine;)

But yeah post pics. Quickly.
