found a turbo 300z may buy need help

i found a 80's- late 80's model hatchback turbo v6, 5 speed trans, needs some tuning and a hood, i dont know the year but i know its a v6 5spd, wondering if anyone has a guess or ways to help me figure out the year,, they want 2,600 on payments,blackish gray 16" Z wheels, w/ 225-50 amd 225-60-16" tires like new, oh yea and it is t-top, has a factory boost gauge in the middle of dash plus a aftermarket one on dash,, the fac. one goes to 7 psi but they said that when that one stops the aftmkt goes to 12 psi,, does this mean its been modified? it runs pretty good, havent driven it yet,, but has some trouble idling, has dual monza type tips with no muffler,,, the intercooler seems to be bypassed and there no filter on it,, also the intak pipe from the t/inter seems to be custom or homade,,, does anone know what to think of this????? please help, i mostly deal with 240's but i really really like this car,, also any info like fac HP or 1/4 mile times would be appretiated,,, X

The the turbo 300zx v6 pushes 200 horse 200 torque roughly, 2600 isnt that bad of a price, i got my 87 na for 2400 but it is in nice condition... get pics itll help

hey draz,,, or anyone else,,, honestly, do you think i should get the car? i am getting rid of my eclipsesh** soon, and i always love the tt 90' and up Z's do you think it would take alot of mods or what are some cheap/ free easy mods to make the 300Z a good contender for the streets as an EVERYday driver ofcoarse,,(since my 240 is down for quite a while,,

Yea man, talk to a couple of guys on this forum. late 80's Z are ****ing fast for their year. especially if you get the turbo. They arnt really that expensive to work on. The Z32 on the other hand are great cars and a faster, but they are VERY expensive to work on unless you do all the labor yourself, which is very time consuming because there is no room. 2600 is a good deal, in my opinion as long as it isnt banged up. apparently you did not read the post, has nothing to do with 350z or TT300's nor adding aftmkt turbo... and yea you are hubcaps. post you own thread for the turbo, thanks, guys so far for all the info. i have put the dep on it but im still not too sure,, its kinda well really tight space to work on this thing, would be real big pain if motor goes huh? i dont know what has been done to it but i know its an apex BV and intercooler looks aftrmkt, plus with 12 psi and over 100k, how reliable should it be? also i wonder what the problem is with it not idling smoth? simple tune up or whats a comon prob with them guys???,,
