Found a pic of my old box

I sold this with the speakers for $400 last year. Made out of 1-3/16" MDF with 1/4" of foam all the way around custom upholstered with black vinyl. I designed it to match the maximum reclining angle of the back seats and did the same for the speaker side with a pair of JL Audio 12W4's(I think). Bought those back in '98 and they're still hitting hard as a mofo in some dude's trunk.

This was on top of a parking structure looking at Mandalay bay in Vegas, my buddy Cameron in the trunk.

found one of my old box too. The guy who owned my car before me was a music guru in 1996 before they invented amps with built in EQs and Crossovers. He origonally had 3 10'' JLs that were all blown to s***, and 5 amps to power each door speaker and one 600watt for the subs...tell me about it. Fold the display out and you got a EQ and Crossover with 1000 wires running everywhere.

now i ripped all that out and replaced it with...

and it sounds 10x better...go figure.

That's a crazy setup dude had, back then everyone was much more creative. Now it's all about stuffing the most amount of big cheap pieces of s*** in our cars. What happened to clarity, definition and class?

YEAH. and what happened to high rise nikes, and real freestyle beats dropped on top of dance tunes, and grunge rock. the guys today look like hermaphrodites. Chest hair aint even cool no more. god dammit. Im stuck in the 90's!
