and really who cares if its not a namebrand rim. if it looks good who cares!
It's not necessarily a matter of the name brand, but the quality that comes along with the name. I *WISH* no-name wheels were made of the same alloys, using the same processes, and had the same quality construction and overall finish than the name brand wheels, but unfortunately, in this world of ours, that is just not the case. There's a reason cheap stuff is usually cheaper, and that's cuz they were MADE to be cheap in the first place. There's nothing inherently wrong with running doo doo wheels if you really like the style, but don't expect them to be available in the best fitments, and definitely don't expect them to look all that good upon close inspection. Most cheap wheels usually have irregular edges/corners/lines due to poor manufacturing, and the finishes are usually also irregular and blemished. Perfect example would be to look at a typical made in China/Taiwan bling bling chrome wheel sold at the local wheel shop and then look at a bling bling chome wheel made by a company such as Work. You will notice that the reflection off the cheaper wheel is very wavy, and the chrome "curls" around the edges and alters their radius, also in an inconsistent manner. Granted not everyone wants a bling bling wheel, but once you see the glaring differences between a cheaper chromie wheel and its more expensive (name brand or not) counterpart, you will start noticing the minor differences in the non-bling style wheels
Analogy... Ralph Lauren jeans vs. Old Navy jeans... both work well, both can last a long time, but in all honesty, the Old Navy ones have irregular stitching and coloring, and just don't feel as good to wear even after broken in. If name brand is such an issue, you get the better pair of jeans and tear the badge off and just revel in the fact that you paid good money for good jeans, regardless of the name that was once attached to them
