My 240 I have now is a 92 coupe and I seem to keep finding 89-94 model 240's around the $500-$2500 price range. The last place I found one was in the local bulliten board and the guy was asking $700.00 for it so of course I jumped on it. My brother and I went to look at it and he told us that it had a bad head gasket leak, but had a brand new radiator, great paint, sunroof, clean interior, brand new water pump, and all new tires. We figure he is just trying to get back what he put into it which is understandable. The only thing is he does not have the title for it. He claims the original owner still has it and he says he has been trying to get it from him. We put a $100 deposit down and after 4 weeks we still have nothing to show for it. This guy also cashed the check for the deposit and claims that it will be another 4 weeks before he will have the title in his hand because the dealer that he got the car from has changed their last name and now all this "paperwork" has to be processed. Is he jerking me around or should I wait before I go and tow it away? What do you guys think?

Well, you can't go and tow it away because it isn't your car. You should have never given him any money in the first place. Ask him if he has any documentation at all for the car, and if he'll give you your $100 back. If you gave it to him under the agreement that he would get the title, then he should give it back because he can't deliver. You have to wait. Just don't go and tow it because that is GTA.
