I found a 1994 Q45 at a local junkyard and the guy wants $150 for both of the Engine and transmission is it worth it because I could practice pulling the plenum off and I could used the TB and extra parts and the metal guides.

But what do you guys think?

The previous owner was a spanish kid with a ton of speeding tickets, No I dont know him but just from seeing the tickets in the glovebox.

NO! NO! NO! Paul, what are you thinking? Read your post as if someone had asked you these questions. No matter how young you may be, time will always=$, the only thing that changes is the value of the time. Take on a more worthy project. Don't be in such a hurry.

You asked. I answered.

Well it would just be for spare parts I doubt I would do an overhaul on it. so not worth it.

Worth $400 less shipping to Phoenix as a core exchange when you pruchase a remanufactured one from Joe.

For what the engine or transmission?

And I will be taking the EGR, IAC AKA AAC, TB and TCS TB maybe the plenum

Good to have clean spare parts that work.

Question you need to ask yourself is if you will ever really need those parts during the time you own your car???? I have over 217,ooo miles on my Q currently and EVERY SINGLE part you mention above is still the original factory installed on my Q.

I have decided with just buying a working secondary TB motor and both TBs and the rubber hose that goes from the MAF to the TB.
