Fouled spark plug question

I was having a loss of power/shuddering issue w/ my Maxima. The ECU threw a code of 1920 and I identified it by having Advance Auto Parts print out the problem codes. It showed the 1920 code and cylinder 02 missfire. I replaced the coil on cylinder 02 and it fixed my "shuddering - loss of power" problem but now it is showing an error again.

My question is can a bad coil foul a spark plug? I'm using the NGK Iridium (not the laser ones)

It is a possibility. I have not personally seen it but it could happen.
