well i guess this could be a speculation thread for you guys.

but i mainly made this thread due to this picture that was photoshopped by one of the guys on the forza forums, (just in case this ever surfaces somewhere) NO ITS NOT CONFRIMED IF THE GTR IS ACTUALLY IN THE GAME.

pretty beliveable huh?

Anyway we think they maybe still dealing with licences etc, some corporate politics issue, we may get to see it one day... But I'm sure at this stage it's a 'no'.. slightly disappointing, but not show stopping. Supposedly one of the reasons for not having the GTR in FM3 is because Nissan will only let the it in the game if you cant upgrade the body/engine/suspension and no damaged is allowed, which Turn 10 supposedly denied hence not being in the game

discuss?

Forza doesn't have the R35, then it will be incomplete. They should continue to fight with Nissan until they can get it in the game.

If it isn't allowed by the time the game comes out then they should release it as downloadable content. But if it doesn't get done then it will be a big dissapointment.

That's odd though, because NFS Pro Street had the GTR and I think GT5 Prologue had it too...with the full version of GT5 supposedly having vehicle damage. Maybe it could just be a hype stunt on Turn10's part to keep people on edge?

Polyphony (Sony) designed the UI on the GTR. That could be part of the reson it won't be in a Microsoft game.

no fanboi here, i have a PS3 also and i love the Gran turismo series

but its pretty stupid if Sony/PD doesnt let the GTR in the game, some people say "ooo its just one stupid car" but i think this "stupid car" is going to be able to smoke the competition in the game. (when it comes down to tuning, upgrading the car, and finally racing against other people online)

plus i could name a few reasons why Forza is better then GT as much as anyone else can do the other way around.

The reason why I said "Fanboi" is because you are obviously OBSESSED with Forza and you are willing to fight to the death for a game that isn't even completed. Between you and Nali you guys constantly compare GT with Forza and neither of them are finished.

Granted, I do agree with you on some points as to why Forza 3 > GT5 but I just snapped because you guys are posting thread after thread about it and you guys are such fans of a game that doesn't exist.

Mean while there has yet to be a Next Gen GT game...

How is that any different from the Sony / GT5 crowd that gets so upset when the same term is applied to them?

In any case, I have a hard time believing Nissan's policy of the R35 inclusion only if its "untunable". Look at Cobb, Mine's and some other tuning houses have modified the R35 - I don't get it. Look at the Power Enterprise R35 that was at Tokyo Auto Salon - 600+ horses, twin charged, non-OEM wheels (formerly said to be all but impossible)...yeah, Nissan should worry about an unmodified version in a sim. There's something else is going on.

What the Versa?Alright, if that's in there but the Max and Q aren't someone is going to die slowly, painfully, and with a progressively increasing collection of their organs in my bathtub.

Well that might be true but I am a PS3 fanboi and I prefer Forza over GT because of the two latest titles...

But one was on a next gen console and the other wasn't.

So although I love Forza now, this doesn't mean Forza 3 is better or worst then GT5. Neither game has come out yet, all it is are screenshots and demos that people can drool over. These are not valid arguments for either games supremacy of the other.

If I heard a PS3er making the same type of claims as the guys on here, I would post the same frustration...

I think most will agree that Froza 2 > GT4

But as of now Forza 3 is not better then GT5 and GT5 is not better then Forza 3

Fair enough! I only wish more of the typical PS3 / GT5 fans were as level-headed, open minded and as well spoken as you are.

I will still give a slight edge to F3 as 1) Mike actually drove it and 2) I've not heard anyone from Turn 10 announce that they were focusing solely on a demo. Still, I'll be more than a little disappointed if the R35 doesn't make it in the game in stock/street form. I'm sure they'll include a Super GT version that can't really be altered in any real way.

If this is the case then PD and Turn 10 are playing the same game with each other. PD hyped up GT5 for a year before FM2 was released, then they said it would drop Holiday season of 05. Gamers got Prologue instead b/c FM2 got pushed back to March 06 due to "technical problems with the distributor". GT5 was supposed to drop holiday season of last year, then there was scuttle butt about a FM3 coming out. Then GT5 got pushed back some more b/c of the "we're adding more content" excuse. Now PD has to do something because their loyal fans are starting to get sick of Prologue and are screaming for the real game or GTFO.

PD hears these cries and come E3 this year decides to appease the masses by saying that in Sept. when the new PSP drops there will be a PSP variant of GT5 and that the real game will drop spring of next year, which in turn gets the GT5 fanboi's psyched and silent.

Now Turn 10 is starting to play the same game as PD with the pushing the game back BS. Personally I don't think they should have given a release date @ E3 if they knew or even thought the game wouldn't be ready in time. They are still running silent with any major details, we have a confirmed 10 cars listed on their site and a few of the tracks, but beyond that we know next to nothing. If they are pushing the game back maybe it's to add all the isht that the FM fans have been crying for since FM2 dropped, or maybe it's because they overloaded themselves by promising 400 cars with full interiors, plus damage, plus record and rewind feature, plus this and plus that. Unless the game's 400 cars consists of all the cars from FM2 plus some I don't see how they can make the game they are promising in 2.5 years.

While I honestly hope the rumors of a push back are false, I have a sneaking suspicion that Turn 10 is pushing the game back to see exactly what GT5 will offer if it does indeed drop in Spring 2010.

I think that: Forza 3, no doubt is most likely finished, but the boys over a gt Wrote down everything they saw when they played forza 3, yes, they did and they liked it.... But anyway i Think turn 10 wants to one up them, because since the makers of GT know whats in fora 3, they will try to one up forza 3. so forza 3 will try to one up their upness by one upping their on up. Did i make any sense?

I was driving in tunnel when i randomly got a tingling sensation in my back and neck. I very quickly drove to the nearest gas station and bought a red bull. After drinking it, i focused and realized it was my GT vs Forza sense.I knew somewhere on the planet there was someone comparing the two games.

I decked the speed limit and made it to my computer and started scanning every single forum i am a member of, till i found this.

GAhahahaha < Evil Laugh!!

But No, im not going to go into FanBoy mode for this, my need to contradict RCA is greater than my need to bash and promote games i havent played before.

So back on topicI think Forza 3 IS going to have the GTR. I dont see a logical reason they would leave out such an amazing car.

Considering they bought off Ferrari to allow their cars to flip over, i doubt Nissan can hold out.Im sure they are just keeping it secret so they can have it revealed in some super trailer closer to the release date. If The Veyron is also in the game, they might do a massive trailer called Legendary.Cars in the Legendary Trailer:

Word around the web is that since Polyphony Digital (they made the GT series if you didn't know) handled some of the computer stuff on the R35 they also have exclusive game rights for it.

I also did hear that Nissan did reach an agreement for the R35 to appear in FM3. The terms would be that the R35 can't have any extensive modification (I'm assuming that means no motor/suspension upgrades), no damage, etc.

I'm not sure if that is all true, that's just what I've heard from by word of mouth... Please don't flame...
