I dunno how forza 2 is, but in #1 it was impossible to drive the rb26 240 in grip. Wayyy to much power to be driveable. Downgrade it, i.e. run fairly close to stock engine and tune the suspension. Just b/c you have all the mods on it doesn't mean it will be fast on the track.

It's actually AWD in Forza 2. No way to have an RB26 without it. His problem is tuning. Get an upgraded diff and change the torque split forward slightly.

Ha, you all assume I have an RB in it....

Good thing I do :p will do as soon as I get some CR, Out of eligible races for the Silv so I gotta go though some of the Semi-Pros with something else. Are RBs this good in real life? Granted it has a helluva lot more mods, but the thing is pushing 500hp and 0-60 in 2.5 seconds...

ah, gotcha, I heard about the FR and awd coversions. Ya, in forza 1 a full blown rb26 is totally un driveable even with assists!

Haha you might be happy to find that you can do RWD conversions on the Hondors. I have a RWD CRX with an F20C Turbo

I see what you mean now...the RB is an insane amount power, maybe too much for me right now...

It is too much. My stock block S13 with AWD and an RB26 has a 7.5 acceleration rating. It rips 900 hp cars off the line.

I wish there were some plain old drag racing events....this thing would freaking kill. With the upgraded turbo it's had 9.7 accel rating on an S997 car

I think I'll drop it back down to stock block

That's one thing that pissed me off. I had an 8 second Skyline in the last Forza.

Jesus! Even without RB this thing just cannot maintain it's grip. Any tuning tips? Ugh. The damned Porsche takes the same turns faster than me with not even a bit of skid

Stiffen Anti roll, lower the rear tires' air pressure, increase the camber, increase the locking on Decel on your differential. That is about all you can do for that.

Did you mean + or - camber? I did a bit of + at first then switched to - and I think it makes a much better difference.

Ah, so I'm not crazy. I couldn't imagine how having a car like \-[ ]-/ could possibly increase grip

You know what i miss from the first one, is point to point races. Those were so much fun, also the drag track so you could see what your car would do in the quarter mile. Why would they take those out.

I agree 100000000000000000% with you. They were stupid to remove those.

The best thing you can buy for grip, braking, handling, and acceleration, is to buy racing rubber and wider tires. That is ALWAYS the first thing I buy when modding a car.

Does anyone else play with all the assists off (TCS, ABS, SCM)? I feel it's a must for trying to drift. But try driving a 575hp S14 with everything off, it's something you gotta master lol

The first few races I did in the game were on medium with only ABS on to get used to it. After about 5 races, all assists were off and I turned it up to Hard with simulation damage. Thats the only way to do it, IMO. Some cars are VERY hard to handle with no computer help, but it just adds to the realism and makes it more neccessary to fine tune your car.

Yea. I started with the driving assits off cause I had the S14 and was playing around drifitng, then I just go use to driving with everything off, you feel the car better. It is hard to drive high horsepower cars lol I put in the last turbo upg last night, 676hp. Not to easy to drive for most, but I've perfected it. With most cars you can just go WOT all the time, not with this car. You have to control the throttle at all times, once you get it though, you better hold on

I started on easy to learn, once I got it I bumped it up to medium, but it was no challenge, so hard it is. Even that seems a little easy

I must say, forza 2 friggen pwns

I started in asia with the 92 Supra Turbo. Its white w/ gold 17"superlegga's. It has r compund hoosiers, JIC Adjustable suspension, Tanabe sways, and a race ignition system. It rocks.

I'm addicted to this game!

If you want a real easy car to drift, you may laugh but a rwd civic hatch. Its so easy to control. I was really surprised. You can laugh but dont knock it before you try it.

Gotta try that. But I gotta retract a statement on a post. I said I drive that nice 575hp S14 with no assits, well I topped off the turbo and now has 675hp, I need TCS lol I can drive it, but to keep up with that damn Top Secret S15 its a must. There's just WAY to much wheel spin under hard acceleration.

this is kinda off topic but in the first part i had an RB26 in the S14 and i couldn't keep that thing planted on the ground...did that happen to u guys too? I played around with the downforce and suspension but i never got it...two much power for the S-chassis?

Nope. Couldn't handle any of that power in the first one without serious pedal work. In this one though, the RB26 swap brings AWD. All of that power goes straight to the ground.
