Hey 'vert owners,

This forum exists to serve the members ('vert owners). So I want to make sure it's set up and operating in the best way to please the people who participate here.

I'm going to try this thread to see how it goes. Basically I want a place on the forum for the members to give feedback, make suggestions, ask for help from moderators, or anything else of that sort.

It's a stick so it stays on the top of the forum, but is not locked, so anyone is free to post here anytime.

Here are some things I would love to see from you guys...

1.) If you ever see a thread with great information that you think should be added to the FAQ's sticky, please nominate that thread with a link in a reply here.

2.) If you have suggestions on how to improve the portal site (www.240sxconvertible.com) and/or the registry site (www.240sxvertregistry.com) or this forum, or NICO as a whole, please don't hesitate to post those things up.

3.) If you have ideas on how to improve the forum, such as ways to increase activity and membership, ways to make things more fun, or anything you feel would be helpful, please post.

4.) If I have projects that I need help with from the group, I'll post them in here as well.

Here's what I don't want to see in this thread:Please - NO personal issues with other members posted here in public. Not that it happens very often here... in fact hardly ever. But in the event that one member is unhappy with another members actions, please contact me privately and I'll deal with the situation. Likewise, if you're unhappy with me, you are free to contact me directly to discuss, or if your uncomfortable with me, feel free to contact another administrator on the forums.

One final note: Please understand that I may not be able to make every suggestion a reality. We may be handcuffed by our technology on the site, we may have reasons for doing things that override or don't allow for the change, etc... But, if for some reason we can't make an adjustment based on the request, I'll let you know what the reason is.

I love this forum!!! I want to make sure we stay sharp and progressive and continue to grow and improve, so please let me know what we can do as a team to make that happen.

Thanks everybody!!!

I'm going to get things started by making a request of all the members here on the forum:

Please help us populate and grow the convertible registry page.

http://www.240sxvertregistry.com

If you are cruising ebay, autotrader, cars.com, or any other site on the net and you see a 'vert. Take a moment and enter the info in the database. All you need to do is copy and paste the Vin # into the first page. Then add any other information you can find like owner, location, miles, etc...

I can't stress enough how valuable this registry is to all of us. Having a legit registry legitimizes our claim to being a "collectible" car. It will help increase values, tighten the community, benefit us when it comes to titling, licensing, and insuring our cars, etc...

So if you can take an extra minute every now and then and check for opportunities to update the website, that would be awesome!!!

Thanks everybody!!

Good idea Seth.

Reminded me to check locally on autotrader and found 6 Verts. Only one missing a VIN.

I've wanted to put together a vert projects list - a thread with links to everyone's project thread with a recent picture. There's a lot of times I want to find an old project thread that I haven't seen in a while to get some ideas or remember what's going on.

The other thing. How about a vert of the month for the 240sxconvertible.com portal? We could use the verts from this year's calendar... Just a thought. Each owner could write a few things about there car for a small feature/article.

Both are good ideas!

Let's start compiling a list of 'vert builds. I'll start a new thread, and we can add them when we find them.

Here it is: zer...abase

The 'vert of the month would require regular labor from our web design guy.... Could we do a 'vert of the quarter to make life easier?

I'm with dexter on the vert of the month on the main page of 240sxconvertible.com, that would be sweet

My suggestion is to have a thread with just diagrams in it, such as the SR wiring, door swap,etc... there was also a dealer diagram of exterior body parts with part numbers, that was so helpful. I think it would stop redundancy of the same old questions of common issues we come across.

I like it! Good idea.

Can you start a thread to compile the links to those threads? Once we have a list of most of the diagrams, I'll rehost all the pictures so that we don't loose them in the future.. then we add all the diagrams to the FAQs thread.
