I'm almost positive this will be deleted by mods, but it's worth a shot regardless...

I've sparked quite a lot of interest in thw 240/280z's and was wondering if there were any recomendations to other forums supplying as much information on them as, say, NICO does on the 240sx.

Thanks in advance, and keep on with the rebuilds! what i've seen on here looks great!

Just random general information. It's a slight pain having to weed through the internets to find something so simple like the type of suspension set-up under the s30, modification information (how-to's, and write-up's are great!) and some member's rides for inspiration.

i see all the badass swapped 240z's/280z's and can't seem to find where they congretate.

I know production numbers are low, but that low? lol.

I guess my biggest interst is of the "trackability" of the s30 and easability of swaps. I'm hoping to find a nice 240z and hopefully slide an RB or VG inside. I've seen a few done, but information was limited. I'm aware that Nissan also sed these cars as their track sluts for years, but that was back in the day.

BMW used my 6 series back in the day too, and it was a trophy winner by far, but now i get passed on off/on ramps by minivans.

Thanks in advance for any enlightenment, and I'll be checking out your sig addy as well.

********EDIT: your signature helped a lot. thanks!

there were actually a lot of s30's made, there were over 363,000 sold in the US alone! suspension setup depends on what you want to do, ST springs and Tokiko's are a nice streetable setup, MSA swaybars are a nice combo http://www.zcarparts.com full coil overs and sectioned struts is the only way to go, here si a writeup I didhttp://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread?id=237090

as for tracking the brakes are a real weak point, again, lots of options, toyota 4 pot calipers on vented z31 disks and maxima read disks are popular and cheap upgrades, or you can go for wilwoods, form arizonazcar, or modern motorsports

as fro engine swaps, I'm a fan of the L28, especially after spending some time and money on my Z32, info on every swap possible can be found at hybridz.org

please keep us informed of what you get and what you do to it, and feel free to post questions, I have done abotu everything possible to my 240Z

Do you have a link to your car? I'd like to see some more info on it.

Thanks! I'd actually like to see the interior aswell. Hopw you don't mind showing off your car. lol.

Now to a REAL important question...................Where's a good place to look for s30's for sale? I'm truly looking for a good roller 240z, or running 280z, but it seems the only ones worth buying (that I can find anyway...) are all west coast cars. I'm looking to get out of my s13 (and BMW hopefully) very soon and build an s30 to be admired. (and tracked!)

Thanks for all your help, and I hope you don't think I'm asking to be spoon fed, just wouldn't mind a little assistance.

heh, I've seen quite a few in you'r area, craigslist, ebay, hemmings, classic car trader, zcar.com has a fairly active classifieds section, and there was one or 2 in our classifieds recently but I have no idea what part of the country, sorry no pic;s of the interior I can find right now, not much to see, corbeau gts seats and a factory dash, no door panels or carpet

Thanks again. and keep up the good work on your car, I'm a big fan of anything built for a track. (except NASCAR, and lawn mower racing (WTF???))

What ever happened to the "Member's ride's" section around this forum anyway?
