Is it possible for a moderator or "site owner" (whoever that might be) to 1. access a list of IP addresses that a registered user has visited, and 2. upon determining that that user visited a competing site, block that user from the first site?
My wife was a longtime member of a web forum, and registered on a competing forum of similar content. Almost immeadiately after registering on the competing forum, her IP address was blocked from the forum she was a long-time member on. Does this sound possible, or is there a more mundane explanation?
She's p****d, I'm just curious. If I wanted to be a d***, I guess I could just run an IP mask, but still.....
