I am having a problem loading the forum with IE 8.0.6. The top banner and links are displayed, but the actual forum does not load. There is an IE error message:

Webpage error details

No changes have been made to my system. I am using Firefox to post this message.

Seems there are some issues with certain versions of Internet Explorer. I have let the site administrator know of the problem.

OK, after further research, one thing is abundantly clear: We're not getting a bit of help from our current provider.

The good news: Looks like we're on pace to flip the switch and "go live" with the new upgrades in the next 24 hours, and these issues are not present on the new interface.

Bear with us, guys... We're busing and cranking to get things squared away, and it's all gonna be worth it REAL soon.

Funny thing is, I have 8.0.6 here at home and it loads fine. Both are WinXP machines. However I have service pack 3 on my home PC and not at work. Might have something to do with the Windows updates..

Well the forum upgrades are now complete... well there might be a few bugs. IE 8.0.6 now works.

The problem with the upgrade is that the advertisement on the page is now taking about the third of the display (before it was pushed out outside of the display to the right).
I mainly comes to this forum on a 13-14" screen (1024x768 pixels display). A lot of windows moving already with the old version as soon as you have pictures in the thread, but the problem now is that I cannot move the window anymore: The width is fixed at the larger of the screen.
So, as soon as there are pictures in the thread, I cannot read the posts anymore (example: the 19" or 20" rims thread).

I checked the user profile to modify the settings but did not find anything. In other forums, like BITOG, you can modify your settings in order to accomodate the size of your display.
So for now on, no comments from me as soon as there are pictures as I cannot read what other wrote.

Is there something I can do to view all the thread on a 1024x768 display?

Thanks for your help.

Thanks Pescakl,

My PC does the same thing. I have forwarded off the '19 and 20" wheels' thread as an example.

The guys have spent the last 24 hours straight doing the upgrade... it's a massive job and it will take a few more days of tweaking to fix everything.

Please be patient.
