I just thought I'd let you all know, so it came from my mouth and not hearsay, that I am stepping down as moderator soon.

I will not be leaving the site, but rather I will return to the ranks of the regular users. You'll still see my annoyed face around right next to Kimber's squinty face.

There are a number of factors contributing to this, but my primary reason is family... some of the issues I was dealing with as moderator were starting to impact me in other places in my life, and so I wanted to make sure I quit before it started affecting my family at all.

Time frame has not been determined yet, so you can't break out the keg and start shooting off your mouths... I'll still be here eyeballing y'all for a while longer.

You've been doing a top shelf job. You won't be easy to replace. Glad you'll be sticking around.

Geoff has been an invaluable member of the NICO staff for quite some time. The Versa forum owes him a big hearty THANK YOU! for the work he's done to build what is by far and away the best Versa forum on the net.

We are sad to see EV step down as a staff member, but we understand his reasoning. I've got a wife and kid of my own, and believe me, if I felt like my work here was getting in the way of my family, I'd make the same decision.

So, Geoff, thanks for your service! Enjoy life as a civilian (or something like that..

)

Dan (Codered) will continue his work as moderator of the Versa forum.

If anyone needs assistance, please contact him, and he'll certainly be able to assist.

Also, myself and other NICO staff are always available to assist anyone on the forums. So feel free to contact any of us.

Rock on Versa forum!

Nothing wrong with putting family before other things!

It is important to not let being a NICO Mod become a stress factor in your life. Nothing is that important!

If it is the right choice for you to stop being a Mod, then that is a good direction to go in. It is sometimes a tougher choice to stop doing something, so I respect that courage.

I wish you good fortune for sure.

I respect your decision to put your family ahead of us (not that we wouldn't be flattered if you did the exact opposite) We will miss you as a moderator; You've done a bang-up job, and were an asset to our community. Best of luck in all your future endeavors!

Do NOT show this thread to my wife

I've learned the hard way how stressful it can be to manage a site. Sorry to hear that the job got to you, but not surprised. You've done a great job here, building an unusually strong community for a new model.

Very glad to hear you'll be sticking around as a regular member.

I completely understand the need to put your family first. I just want to say that all of your hard work hasn't gone unoticed or unappreciated. I am thankful for all that you've done and I'm thankful that you'll still be around to contribute to the forum!
