Damn looks like there were actually a lot of NICO people in attendance. I wish I had met up with some of you guys, it would have been nice to roll out there and back with a couple of cars. I got a couple of pictures but I'll have to post them up tomorrow.
It was way to hot out there damn near fell out from heat exhaustion and I'm sunburned beyond belief. I have to say though I'm more than a little disappointed by the show this year, last year and the year before where so much better. There were less booths, they had practically no show cars on display and it felt like they were just in a rush to get done, I could have used a small break to stretch my legs between the final 8 and final four. There were waaaaay to many people, the whole thing was overly commercialized and it even appeared that the drivers didn't want to be a part of it anymore (though that could be b/c it is the end of the season). Hell last year and the year before there were twice as many drivers and teams there.
Formula D needs to reorganize and go back to a grass roots organization and tell these large non car oriented organizations to go away. I'm wondering if Nopi Drift is the same way, being that I've never been, but they seem to more of the privateers than Formula D does.
Oh and Falken Tires is a goliath, every year they seem to have like 4 more drivers and cars.
Finally I'd like to say I hope they come back next year but move to E-town since by next year the road course should be done and open for business.
